Understanding Revelation 2:13

In the scriptures, particularly in Revelation 2:13, there is a mysterious and profound reference that has been a subject of intense debate among scholars, theologians, and believers alike. The verse reads:

I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

To comprehend the implications of this scripture, we must first take a deep dive into the life and martyrdom of Antipas, and the significance of the ‘seat of Satan‘.

Who Was Antipas?

During the reign of the Roman Emperor Nero, John the Apostle ordained Antipas as bishop of Pergamum, according to Christian tradition. As per Eastern Orthodox writings, the Commentary on the Apocalypse of Andreas of Caesarea provides us with a notion that Saint Antipas was indeed the Antipas referred to in Revelation 2:13 as we read above. The narrative of his life states that Antipas was put to death during the reign of Nero (54-68 AD), meeting his fate in a brazen bull-shaped altar at the Appollyon temple in Lyon (Geneva), Switzerland. Following his martyrdom, he was buried in a nearby cemetery.

The Seat of Satan: Pergamum or Geneva?

This association has led to many interpretations and speculations about the presence of satanic influences in the modern world. So, let’s examine some of the noteworthy aspects of Geneva today.

Geneva: Capital of the One World Government?

Geneva, Switzerland, has become a hub for numerous international organizations. The sheer diversity and global reach of these organizations may appear as an indicator of this city being a powerful seat in the modern world. But is it possible that this is where Satan truly dwells, not only in a spiritual sense but also in a physical sense? Let’s explore this further.

CERN Particle Accelerator: Geneva is home to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, where scientists claim to want to understand the creation of the universe, even attempting to recreate the ‘Big Bang’. It is also at CERN that scientists seek to create a ‘god particle’.

World Organisations: Geneva is the headquarters of the World Economic Forum, World Trade Organization, World Council of Churches, World Federation of United Nations, the Lutheran World Federation, and the World Health Organization.

LGBTQI+ Advocacy: The city hosts International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Association.

Other Governance: Geneva also houses GAVI the Vaccine Alliance, Internet Governance Forum, and UN Watch.

Looking at the roster of organizations stationed in Geneva, one might be led to speculate about the formation of a ‘one world government.’ The idea can indeed be quite overwhelming, particularly when considered within the context of biblical prophecy and the ‘seat of Satan.’

A Chilling Connection: The Apollo Temple and CERN

The location of Antipas’ martyrdom – the Apollyon temple – presents another compelling layer to our exploration. The temple, dedicated to Apollo (Greek god of the sun, truth, and prophecy), was believed to be the key to the underworld. Intriguingly, where this temple once stood is speculated to be the site of CERN today.

This connection brings us to an ominous passage in Revelation 9:1-2, 11 which reads:

¹ And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

² And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

¹¹ And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

The reference to the ‘bottomless pit‘ and the angel named ‘Abaddon’ or ‘Apollyon’, known as the destroyer, poses a thought-provoking question: could CERN’s activities in probing the mysteries of the universe inadvertently be opening a gateway to this ‘bottomless pit’?

Interestingly, at the entrance to CERN stands a statue of ‘Shiva’, the Hindu god known as ‘the destroyer of worlds‘. Is it a coincidence that this Hindu god ‘Shiva’ shares a common name meaning as ‘Abaddon’ or ‘Apollyon’? I think not, especially considering that the site of CERN is said to be built over the ancient temple of Apollyon…

For the brave, there is a video on YouTube in which a scientist at CERN working late looked out their window at the Shiva statue. In front of the statue there were several people wearing hooded cloaks that seemingly performed a human sacrifice in a satanic ritual. The video cuts out as the scientist fled his office in horror (warning, the video contains cursing if you choose to look it up). Research suggests that the filming scientist went missing after posting the video. Officials at CERN have claimed that it was a hoax, but whether it be real sacrifice or mock sacrifice, it’s witchcraft regardless.

CERN: A Gateway to the Bottomless Pit?

As we explore the possibility of CERN being the ‘seat of Satan,’ we’re drawn into the world of quantum physics and particle accelerators. CERN’s supposed main purpose is to uncover the secrets of the universe, even attempting to recreate the conditions of the ‘big bang’ and discovering the ‘god particle’. But what if this pursuit of knowledge is inadvertently venturing into areas best left unexplored?

While this perspective may seem a far-fetched to some, it does remind us of an important lesson from the scriptures – the pursuit of knowledge without reverence for our Creator can lead us astray. As stated in Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.“

Just this year, researchers at CERN have stated that they “are confident to make contact with parallel universe in days”. They hope to contact entities from other dimensions. Sounds like fantasy, but these scientists are dead serious. Read more about that here

Is it possible that if CERN is successful in making such contact with entities in a ‘parallel universe’ that we could see the fulfillment of Revelation 9:1-2, 11 we read above? Again, seemingly far-fetched, but consider the following.

Disconcertingly, it has been observed that the logo of CERN contains a disguised representation of the number 666, often associated with the “the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name” of Revelation 13:16-17

Following the satanic connections, in 2017 the world’s longest tunnel (the Gotthard Tunnel at CERN) had it’s opening ceremony which displays many satanic symbols including a man with a goat’s head, workers in a trance-like zombie state, scarrabs, the angel of death and much more.
